On a Beam of Light is a delightful picture book about the life of Albert Einstein. I would recommend this book to students in grades 2-4. As a picture book, it is obviously just a brief introduction to Einstein, but the delightful pictures and understandable text make it an interesting read about a truly interesting and engaging man. The author stresses that Einstein was always imagining, wondering, figuring, and thinking. I would hope this would spark some of the same things in the children who read this book.
