3 out of 5 stars

For pre-school and kindergarten age children, The Little Shop of Monsters has just the right combination of frightful (not much at all!), yucky, gross, and silly to make this a fun read. Two children visit a monster shop where readers get to guess the favorite foods or names of the monsters on display. There’s a little twist to monster shopping which is revealed near the end. Older children might find the book silly, if slightly boring.
