Two words – Lost. Found. – tell the entire story in this picture book that features an elusive scarf and a myriad of forest animals. On a wintery walk, Bear sets off a chain of events as he loses his red scarf. A series of animals, from raccoons to an otter, subsequently find, and again lose, the scarf, until ultimately it unravels in a heap of red yarn.

This story of friendship and working together features a happy ending, and young readers who want to venture into reading on their own, will love this simple, yet warm story. The illustrations have the appearance of being simple sketches, but there is more detail there if you spend time looking.
