This is a very good book to read to young children on the first day of school. The twist to this first-day jitters story, is that it is told from the point of view of a new school building. The jitters of the new school, and his observations about how the students that visit him act, will help kids realize they are not the only ones feeling uncertain about a new situation, and the humor could hopefully help them feel a little better about their anxieties.
