This unique alphabet book has readers finding the letters hidden out in the world. A stoplight from the side resembles the letter E, an ornate brick wall has a curving U in its design. What I found fascinating was sometimes the letter was not in an object, but in the space between objects. The letter T is in the space between two urban buildings that are connected with a walkway.

On its own, this book might not be completely engaging for young children, but I think it would make an incredible introduction to an art project for students. After reading this book and the artist’s note at the beginning, children would love to search for hidden letters in their world.
